UrbanAurora Borealis over Parliament was painted in watercolour and pastel on birch panel. It depicts the newly renovated Library of Parliament, which is the only parliamentary building to have survived the fire of 1916. Since Ottawa was a logging town, painting its historical buildings on wood is particularly appropriate.
The four-season mini-series began with summer and developed into four seasons. The urban diptych is in Statistics Canada's collection.
