This exuberant series focused in on natural scenes sprinkled around Ottawa. It celebrated lush, almost tropical aspects of our short but spectacular summer.  Realtor John Donald commented, "I like this series because it made me think." The "patches" were often watercolour sketches that became the jumping-off point that gave rise to the rest of the painting.
